A Sedimentary And Structural Evaluation Of The Fly Lake-Brolga Field, Cooper Basin, South Australia.Browne, Mark V. Honours Degree, 1987 University of Adelaide AbstractA sedimentary and structural evaluation of the Fly Lake-Brolga Field incorporates the mapping of genetic sedimentary units within formations of economic hydrocarbon interest; namely the Patchawarra Formation and Tirrawarra, Sandstone. This mapping reflects a changing depositional environment from braided/fluvial to deltaic/lacustrine. Time-Structure and Isochron maps were prepared on prominent horizons, giving a detailed field delineation and another tool to aid interpretation. A literature search covering maturation, source rock analysis and reservoir characteristics, combined with Sand Percentage and Isopach Maps, enabled a comprehensive field evaluation and the location of a possible development well to be proposed. |
