Project Description

The Regional Seal Study of the Vulcan / Browse Sub-basins is soon to be completed. Biostratigraphic data (used to determine the age and continuity of sealing lithologies over different parts of the Vulcan Sub-Basin) has been integrated with the seal capacity information. As a follow up to previous work, additional chronostratigraphic sections have been constructed with an overlay of known sealing units. The unconformities identified in earlier stages of the project have been refined and reinterpreted within a sequence stratigraphic framework.
