Kerrie Deller

Biography

  • Kerrie completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) majoring in Petroleum Geology from the Australian School of Petroleum in 2003. Her honours project was completed in conjunction with BHP Billiton Petroleum, Perth. The research topic was 'The deepwater sedimentology of the outer Browse Basin shelf, slope and canyons, NW Australia - an integration of shallow piston cores, swath bathymetry and shallow seismic data'. She graduated with first class honours.
  • Awards she has received include the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA) South Australian Branch Graduate Scholarship (2003), the Ted Moorcroft/Origin Energy prize for the best overall Australian School of Petroleum honours student for 2003 and an Australian Postgraduate Award to undertake her Ph.D.
  • Professional work experience includes summer internships with BHP Billiton Petroleum Perth during 2002/2003 and 2004/2005 working on GIS applications and the seismic stratigraphy of deepwater Brunei Darussalam respectively.
  • She is a member of AAPG, PESA and SEPM.
