Academic Program CoursesThe School invites participants from industry to audit most courses offered as part of its normal fourth Year/Honours and Postgraduate teaching curricula in both Engineering and Geoscience. These are run in short course format to facilitate industry participation, and range between one and nine days in length. They are presented once per year at a time determined by the timetable for the relevant academic program. The venue is the School building on the North Terrace campus of the University of Adelaide. Industry participants join students enrolled in the course for the lectures, practical work, demonstrations, etc., which comprise the particular course. Fee Structure All other costs (including meals, accommodation and transport) are the attendee’s responsibility. External participants will receive a certificate of completion, but are not normally offered the option of being assessed. However, for some engineering courses, external attendees may elect, on payment of an additional fee, to be assessed and have the course credited towards a part-time MPE or MPBM degree.
