Australian School of Petroleum

The University of Adelaide Australia

Academic Program Courses

The School invites participants from industry to audit most courses offered as part of its normal fourth Year/Honours and Postgraduate teaching curricula in both Engineering and Geoscience. These are run in short course format to facilitate industry participation, and range between one and nine days in length. They are presented once per year at a time determined by the timetable for the relevant academic program. The venue is the School building on the North Terrace campus of the University of Adelaide. Industry participants join students enrolled in the course for the lectures, practical work, demonstrations, etc., which comprise the particular course.

Fee Structure
Industry staff are charged AUD 600 + GST per day, covering tuition and teaching materials, including a course manual. A discount may be offered if two or more participants from the one company attend the same course. Please contact ASP for further information on this.

Students from other institutions may attend a limited number of these courses at a nominal rate of AUD 110 + GST per day.

All other costs (including meals, accommodation and transport) are the attendee’s responsibility.

External participants will receive a certificate of completion, but are not normally offered the option of being assessed. However, for some engineering courses, external attendees may elect, on payment of an additional fee, to be assessed and have the course credited towards a part-time MPE or MPBM degree.
