Australian School of Petroleum

The University of Adelaide Australia

Library Facilities

The School has its own library on the third floor of the Santos Petroleum Engineering Building. Although small, it contains a comprehensive set of key reference books and journals in petroleum geoscience and engineering. In addition ASP maintains a data archive, which contains information including well completion reports, wireline log and seismic data from basins throughout Australia. The archive has been built cumulatively from data acquired for research projects, and also as a result of a number of large data donations from industry.

Two hundred metres across campus from the ASP is the Barr Smith Library, the main library for the University of Adelaide as a whole, and one of the largest libraries in the State. This provides a deeper resource base for the School, and can also arrange inter-library loans for material not held by the University. The Barr Smith catalogue can be consulted on-line from any PC in the School.
